Gun Rights

To bear arms in defense of one’s self or his family, property or community is a fundamental and natural Right of preservation, and it is necessary for the protection of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Without the Right to bear arms, there can be no security for the other essential Rights and Liberties of the people.

The colonists refused to ratify the Constitution of the United States of America until an agreement was made to include a specific Bill of Rights to protect the people from governmental abuse. Included in this declaration of rights was the right to bear arms in the 2nd Amendment to the federal Constitution. The states also incorporated the right to bear arms in their Constitutions, recognizing that the right to bear arms is one of the most essential powers of the people.

In recent years, state and federal government have introduced bills and enacted laws that substantially infringe upon the people’s Right to bear arms and that severely restrict our ability to protect ourselves. Government continues to invoke unconstitutional mandates against the possession and use of arms and working on legislation designed to eliminate the Right, altogether. We must not allow this to happen. The Right of the people to hold government in strict compliance with the Constitution is fundamental, and the use of force of arms must be preserved as our last means of defense against tyrannical government or the evils of trespassers and others who would inflict harm.
